Preventive from Lightening Rain

Today this morning I was phoned by my close fren OCA he told me the he just got bad news about her computer has been broken by lightning rain. he got experience  a modem adsl confirmed burn and the the computer died.

the important data still inside on the hardisk like the paper and other i hope the hardisk still working so the data can be save and with borrow to neighboring computers for data backups

My advice are like this: installing a stabilizer, make ground wires on the computer, pull cable power off during a lightning rain.
